DELTA - The International Experimental Film and Videoart Festival
Slovakia - season 2010
STATUTE
• The International Experimental Film and Videoart Festival (MFEFV) is not held on one particular place nor one specific date. During a "season" announced by the Festival Organizers, the festival travels to chosen places, but also takes place in unplanned places suitable for the projections of its actual program.
• Strongly prefered are public places primarily not dedicated for cultural exposure, but also places promoting the contemporary independent artistic and cultural events; in towns as well as in villages, almost in every region of Slovakia.
• Once the playlist has been created and the season opened by the first projection, the organizers will continously inform the applicants about the place and time of the next projection and make reports after each accomlished event.
• The number of projections is not predetermined. The organizers assume to accomplish at least 5 projections during one season which ends on the 365th day since the first projection opening day.
• The MFEFV is a competition festival of itinerant character, consisting of two categories:
- experimental film/document
- short videoart
• Within this festival, the space is also given to related visual expressions, such as videoinstallations, videoobjects, videoperformance etc.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The films/videos´ format must be AVI or DVD, the required media is miniDV or DVD.
No other format or media is accepted.
Every applicant may submit unlimited number of films/videos.
The organizers reserve the right to make the festival playlist selection from the submitted films/videos, as well as to change this playlist during the current season.
Films/videos in other language than Slovak or Czech must contain a dialogue list/audio transcript in English, French or Spanish.
Films/videos of Slovak/Czech origin but in different language should have slovak/czech mutation or subtitles, if necessary.
The films/videos must contain titles where the author/creator is listed.
Films/videos without completely or correctly filled in application form will not be accepted.
By his signature, the applicant accepts the MFEFV conditions including public projection of his film/video during the current season and the use of the data from the application form for the festival needs (catalogue, poster, prospectus, press etc.)
Films/videos with filled application forms must be sent by the March, 31st, 2010

The film/video selection for the program and the best work award is in the competence of the Festival Jury:
Ján Kostolanský – the director of Delta-MFEFV, member of the artistic group TARZAN
Andrej Poliak – manager of the project „Periférne centrá“, member of the artistic group TARZAN
Ján Viazanička – member of the artistic group Arttoday
Radoslav Ondrišák - member of the artistic group TARZAN
The Jury will nominate the best film/video after the last projection.
The Jury reserves the right to award/to not award other special prizes.
All the applicants will be informed about the results.
The International Experimental Film and Videoart Festival DELTA is part of the project ARTESKORTA - contemporary cultural exposure in public place.
